NWA Quality Monitor

Wrote the 370-page user's manual and the online help file for Windows software that lets plant-floor operators collect data from manufacturing processes. The manual covers installation, configuration, and the design of workstation data-entry screens.

NWA Quality Monitor Supervisor

Wrote the 77-page user's manual and the online help file for Windows software that monitors the status of multiple quality-control LAN workstations that gather manufacturing data from the plant floor. The manual covers installation, configuration, and use and includes a tutorial.

		This online help project earned an Award of Excellence in the 1999-2000 Competition of the Willamette Valley Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication.

Thinkstream Scout 1.0

Wrote the 83-page user's manual and the online help for Windows 95/98/NT software that lets users effectively manage digital information including digital photographs, scanned documents, received faxes, Web pages, and other documents. Wrote the online help for the included image-editing applet.

User's Manual
This document started as a 170-page manual for software that was being ported to Windows from DOS. As more DOS-based modules were converted to windows, this manual expanded to ~620 pages. It includes documentation of the syntax of the proprietary scripting language used to automate program features.

Setup and Tutorial Guide
This guide to installing and configuring the software includes several tutorial exercises. This manual started out at 45 pages and grew to 120 as features were added to the program.

Database Connectivity Module

Designed and wrote a 40-page User's Manual and associated Windows 3.x help file for an add-on module that allows statistical quality control software to connect directly, or via ODBC, to external databases. (This manual was later merged with the main User's Manual.)

LAN Installation and Management Manual
Designed, cowrote, and edited a 35-page printed manual for system administrators that explains how to install and configure the LAN version of statistical quality control software. (This manual was later merged with the Setup and Tutorial Guide.)

Wonderware Industrial SQL Server Interface
Wrote printed manual and online help file for an extension to statistical quality control software that allows it to connect with data collected and stored by third-party software.

Canon Photo Org 1.0

Wrote online help for Windows 95 software to be bundled with Canon digital cameras and sold through retail channels. The software lets you create and distribute photo albums and greeting cards from digital photographs using a digital camera, scanner, or disk picture files.

Wrote the 120-page user's manual and the online help for Windows 95 software that organizes, views, catalogs, and finds scanned documents and digital photographs. Wrote the online help for the included image-editing applet.

Wrote a Windows 95 online help file for the initial Internet-only release of "crash-protection" software.

Symantec Internet FastFind

Created Windows 95 online help files for commercial software that searches the Internet for information and files. The product is aimed at the consumer market. The Help project includes a main Help file and several secondary Help files for each of several standalone tools included in the product. The Help project required interfile jumps and :Includeing and :Linking several CNT files.
