Corporate Report Template
Designed, installed, and provided training in the use of a Microsoft Word template to be used for reports prepared by a not-for-profit consulting firm. Defined styles for all document elements and created a custom menu and toolbar for applying those styles.

WVC STC 2001-2002 Membership Directory
Designed the annual membership directory of the Willamette Valley Chapter (Portland, OR) of the Society for Technical Communication.

Proposal to Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance
Designed, edited, assembled the text for, and created diagrams and charts for a contract-winning proposal to the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance to manage a program for electric utilities that promotes energy-efficient residential lighting.

Proposal to the Port of Portland
Designed, cowrote, edited, and produced a proposal to the Port of Portland, in response to an RFP, to dismantle and recycle the materials from a pier on the Willamette River.
Client: Storie Steel and Wood Products Company, Inc.
WVC STC 1995-1996 Membership Directory
Designed and produced the annual membership directory of the Willamette Valley Chapter (Portland, OR) of the Society for Technical Communication. Wrote Excel Visual Basic macros to generate both alphabetical and randomly sorted listings for separate sections of the directory--Contact Information, Capabilities, Job Categories, Skill Areas, and Knowledge Areas.

Strategic Issue Papers
Edited and cowrote issue papers on addressing, in the 1996 Power Plan, the reliability and persistence of energy savings through Building Commissioning and Operation and Maintenance.

A Conceptual Design for a Demand-Side-Management Program for Commercial New Construction, Renovations, and Remodels
Designed a conceptual demand-side-management program aimed at new commercial construction. Designed and wrote the 26-page program description. Designed a set of program-screening spreadsheets and evaluated the cost-effectiveness of the program. Documented the analysis in a 38-page appendix.

A Model of the Design/Construction Decision-Making Process in Consolidated Edison Service Territory
Developed a decision-making model of the design/development process as it relates to the building-approval process in New York City. Designed, wrote, and illustrated the resulting 75-page report.

An Early-Warning System for Identifying Commercial-Building Construction, Renovation, and Remodeling Projects
Developed recommendations for an early-warning system for identifying new construction projects early in the design stage. Documented the recommendations in a 25-page report.

Demand-Side-Management Program for New Commercial Construction
Headed the development of a detailed demand-side-management program aimed at new commercial construction. Designed and wrote the resulting Program Description. Designed and wrote a draft Implementation Manual for the program.

Data-Collection Form
Designed a 13-page on-site data-collection form for EPRI's Northwest Commercial Evaluation Project.

Survey Questionnaire
Helped design and edited the questionnaire for a survey to assess the satisfaction of building occupants with the thermal and environmental conditions in their workplace.
